Assemble the Minions! – Despicable Me 2 Review

Okay. I NEED a minion in my life. In fact, I think I may get a costume for my dog to wear around. Why are they so cute!? And in this uncommonly not disappointing sequel, they are the stars!

despicable me 2 paradise 3 Assemble the Minions! Despicable Me 2 ReviewI was a huge fan of the first Despicable Me that I make everyone I know watch it with me if they haven’t seen it yet. I mean really… how can you not enjoy “IT’S SO FLUFFY IM GONNA DIE!!!” Little Agnus is just as adorable and loveable as always in the second movie, delivering sweet lines that make everyone laugh.

Anyway, I have already embarked on my sharing of this movie as well. As any movie fan, I was worried and concerned the sequel wouldn’t live up to it’s predecessor, and man was I NOT disappointed. In fact, I think it’s safe to say this sequel is better! Or at least equal. They are both so well done.

First of all, the storyline has so many twists and turns it will keep all ages of people entertained. There’s awesome humor adults will understand more than kids. Seriously, there’s a night Gru gets set up on a blind date with a woman who looks straight out of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Still, this movie is appropriate and great for all ages. The villain is not too over-the-top scary for young kids and he’s interesting (and funny!) enough to keep the attention of everyone.

The plot is based on Gru and his new partner, Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wigg) against crime and villains (yes, against!) are working at a local mall investigating who stole a secret Arctic laboratory. Suspects include a salsa-dancing Mexican restaurant owner who owns a crazy chicken and a passionate wig maker.

Meanwhile, the minions are kidnapped to be turned into hairy purple monsters and Gru and crew must save them…

This is a must-see movie for everyone. Watch with family, friends, significant others, alone. Whatever. Just watch it and enjoy! OH and do NOT miss the scene during/after the credits.
